The Thumpstar TSE 12-E2 Electric Balance Bike is suitable for children AGES 3 and UP. This bike offers more safety controls than any other electric starter bike out there
The box includes a set of REAL MOTORCYCLE FOOTPEGS (which you can easily attach when your child has learned some basic skills and balance), a charging cord that plugs into a port on the frame, a high-quality 5.2Ah battery for hours of fun*, and an owner's manual.

Hub Motor
Introducing the latest geared 250W hub motor - smaller, more efficient, high torque, and silent. This advanced hub motor is designed to consume less power than mid-mount chain drive motors, so the TSE12 and TSE16 models can last as long as 6 hours on a single charge. Enjoy extended riding time without compromising on performance!
Throttle
Experience smooth power delivery specifically designed for children with the Thumpstar electric balance bike. This incredible bike offers 3 speeds for regular riding and an additional 3 racing speeds that can be easily adjusted at the controller unit. With a total of 6 speeds to choose from, your child can enjoy a customized and exciting riding experience!
Battery
A lithium battery designed and tested as the market's longest-lasting electric balance bike battery. 2 - 6 hours depending on conditions and speed settings.
Controller
The controller of the Thumpstar electric balance bike is a perfect blend of hi-tech functionality and user-friendly simplicity. It offers a wide range of options, including the ability to add or remove the kick mode. This feature is particularly useful for children who are still learning to ride, allowing parents to customize the bike's settings to suit their child's skill level and riding needs.
Frame
Heat-treated 6061 T6 frame meticulously designed to cater not only to beginners but also to the race track enthusiasts. The frame's construction ensures durability and resilience, with the heat treatment enhancing its strength and performance. With its 65-degree rake, the bike's frame mirrors the angle found in full-sized motocross bikes, providing an authentic and thrilling riding experience.
Motocross / Rubber Footpegs
Start them off with rubber footpegs, which we have found to be more stable than plastic flatforms. Then, when the children are confident in their riding abilities, you can install the full-sized 56mm stainless footpegs. This progressive approach allows young riders to develop their skills and balance comfortably with the rubber footpegs before transitioning to the more advanced stainless footpegs.
Brake Lever
Designed and tested for kids as young as 2 years old. With a focus on safety and ease of use, this brake lever is crafted to be comfortably operable by young riders, allowing them to have better control over their bike and encouraging safe stopping whenever needed.
Disc Brake
High-quality disc brake with an auto power cut for safety when the brake is engaged, but experienced riders can easily disconnect it to have full control over the bike's power for racing and performance optimization.
Highlights
- Thumpstar's KICK START feature enhances safety, preventing sudden, unexpected starts. The rider must start the bike in motion or "push off" before the motor activates. As the rider gains experience, the KICK START feature can be disabled by opening the bottom cover and unplugging the clearly labeled "KICK START" wire.
- The 3-Speed Switch on the bottom of the bike allows your child to conveniently start slow and increase speeds as they gain skill and experience.
- The Speed Limiter can be disconnected by removing the bottom cover and unplugging the easily identifiable "Speed Limiter" wire. Remember to set the Speed Switch on the bottom of the bike back to the SLOW setting until your child is ready for maximum performance!
- The Torque Switch can be disconnected by removing the bottom cover and unplugging the easily identifiable "Torque Switch" wire, providing maximum starting and hill-climbing power.
- An Aluminum Frame with Steel Forks makes this bike lightweight yet highly durable.
- The adjustable seat (15" to 22") allows for a perfect fit, ensuring your child can place both feet on the ground simultaneously while seated.
- 6-speed settings (3 in "Limited" mode plus 3 more in "full power" mode) offer versatility and adaptability to cater to various skill levels and preferences.
